The Spring Summer 2016 colour palette brings a halo of golden warmth with a relaxed yet polished finish. Beach chic is back, but this time with a touch of refined glamour and a promise of city edge.

Louise Galvin, ‘Beach chic is the feel for Spring Summer ’16, soft tonal colours add texture, movement and light through the hair. Blondes move through the spectrum from cool to warmer shades, this is the acceptable face of ‘global warming’ – interspersed with icy lights to brighten hair and illuminate skin. A halo of lighter colour frames the face and works well with the S/S nude make up trends. Brunettes get to keep their gloss and sheen and whilst the look is less windswept, like summer tailoring the lines are relaxed without being unkempt. A return to glamour without any hard edges or defined contrasting colour, its natural enhancement of what we already have Braids and ponytails cry out for beautiful multi-tonal shades of light and dark and whilst the trend is for a more finished city wave, colour remains soft and flattering.’

Daniel Galvin presents three revolutionary colouring techniques to create and reflect the truest form of enhanced natural beauty this Spring / Summer…Watch movie online The Transporter Refueled (2015)

Finger Painting– A free-flowing, effortless look produced by gradually coaxing and teasing colour through the middle to the tips of the hair with the fingers, rather than using combs, brushes and baking it in foils. Using a specially prepared formula the colour that already lies within the natural pigment of the hair is lifted to produce a hue that is a few shades lighter than the original – delivering a soft, gentle, uncontrived effect.

Urban Lights– An extension of finger painting this technique has been devised to create movement and effect on the underneath sections of the hair and can be tailored to be as subtle, or dramatic, as required. Colour, either a few shades darker or lighter than natural, is applied a centimetre away from the root, super low maintenance! More noticeable once the hair is up this technique is great for casual, ‘up do’s’ and effortless knots and twists.

Butterfly Tips – A technique specifically designed for the ends of the hair and created to give soft and light textural movement to the very tip. The effect helps to break up colour that may look too solid and is reminiscent of natural, untouched, young hair. Colour within two shades of the natural tone is applied to the end three centimetres and is a great option for someone who is considering going lighter.
